Jessica called about 11:15 and was concerned that because she called 15 minutes late, I wouldn't have time for the interview! Psshaw! :) Anyways, the following paragraphs will be able the sorta questions asked and how I think it went. I don't want to bore myself writing a lot, so don't worry about yourself being bored reading it! hehe
She laid out what the interview was going to consist of, as if she were giving an outline of a discussion. I thought it odd, but was happy to know it wasn't going to take more than 30 minutes. (The sweet bed was calling my name!)
She asked the general questions like, what hours available for work, pay desired, etc. I found out from her that the job is 30-35 hours a week, but still considered PT. That's fine by me as long as I can get to and from work, and get some benefits.
More detailed questions followed. What I've done in the past that went above and beyond the call of duty, what were some job responsibilities. That sorta thing. Then she asked me one question that made me think... I was kinda thrown by it. She asked what one word would I use to describe how I work or (something in the work-related theme... well, duh!). I had to make a joke to stall for some time. I then answered, "analytical" I gave some reason about how my brain tends to analyze things, that sorta idea. So, I don't know what the hell I was talking about, because since that time I've come up with so many better, more accurate answers. Oh well. If her boss (Nancy) likes what she hears from Jessica, I'll get a call back in the next few days to set up a in-person interview.
My overall feel of the interview, before knowing about a possible follow-up interview, it went well. After finding I'd have to do another interview, I felt like I was lacking. Like I missed some key points or something. But that could just be all in my head. Who knows?!
I'll find out soon how it went. :)
On another note, job search related, Jerry (from Humana) had to leave the office early today because of his sick father. That means I should contact the dude that called on Saturday. David, is his name. I'll do that tomorrow. I hope to have more job related (positive) input to write about tomorrow.
Later,
Carisa
