The rest of the trip back was pretty boring. No major traffic, no salt on the roads, no rain, no snow, no precipitation in fact, and most of all, no accidents or major slow downs (other than the stupid little towns you travel through). I only saw one deer. No biggie.
I got back and noticed the Animal Alliance lights were on and one vehicle was there. I knew that someone was volunteering and cleaning up. I hopped on by to see Maxine. It was nice to see her again. And yes, mom, she's not as soft as Mikey. She feels like a fluffy pillow though. I found out that she does shead a bit, because she probably didn't get the pettings and brushings as frequently as I give her for the week I was away from her.
I was only there for a bit, and straightened a few cages and such. Then the other lady that was there noticed someone else was present. I think I scared her. It was rather funny, cause she was in the dog room (and it's always loud back there) and she didn't even hear me open and the close the main door. I thought she heard me call out that someone else was here.... (errr...there), but later I found out she was talking to one of the dogs... and I had figured that she had heard me. oh well.
I finished up rather quickly so I could spend more time with Maxine before I knew I had to deal with the inevitable (unloading the car!!!). I gave her a kiss good-bye and told her that I would have a treat for her the next day.
I unloaded the car.... jeez...it only took SIX fucking trips! I was drained completely by the time I got all the stuff inside. But I knew I had to call Mom, cause otherwise she would worry. Oh well. That done, I unpacked my backpack and got it ready for Monday. Then I basically went to bed.
