After spending about 2 hours reading through tons and tons of emails, I wanted to learn! I was getting sick of reading what JavaScript can do and wanted to learn how to write it. I went to a page that had been linked as "JavaScript 101". That sounded like a good place to start.
Only about 15 minutes later did I finally find an example that would be useful to my knowledge level. So, for the next say hour or two I spent learning what all the little stuff meant. This made me really think about all the Fortran I learned in college. I never thought I would need to access that part of memory (in my head) again, so I really didn't have a lot of knowledge to go on.
But since everyone knows you remember your first the best (or in most cases), I remembered more Fortran that I expected. I remember learning about the SELECT options and the if, else crap. Like Ryan said, if you know one programming language, it's pretty simple to pick up another one. You just have to learn different squiggly lines and stuff. hehehe.
So, to keep this entry short, I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm working on getting my long-awaited survey up. I don't think it'll be anything to jump up and down about, but it'll be a step in the right direction. (Or so I hope).
Until tomorrow's entry, I will be working on learning and getting the code to look nice and make it actually functionable. My goal is to have a working survey by the end of next week. Wish me luck!
