I woke up at 8 am. (Can you believe it?! Just one week ago I was going to bed at that time!)
I shoveled the front walk and the end of the driveway at 10am. After that, I showered. I felt really awake at this point. It was the first day since switching around my schedule that I was alert in those early hours.
I worked on my webpage, had a snack, and played some computer games. (well, the online ones, since my Red Alert CD is really really scratched). I decided I wanted to play Red Alert (I mean, it's been a few weeks since I played it... I was almost going through withdrawl... hehehe).
Mom told E and I to show up for 6 pm. The time was drawing near. I still wasn't done with my Red Alert game, so I decided to just shut the monitor off and I'd finish it after the present partakings.
I showed up at Mom's. We ate, and then moved to the living room to have the gift unwrapping shin-dig. The next paragraph will be the presents I received, who it was from, and what my reaction was.
Gloves, Mom, "Oh get it! She wants her gloves back."
Gloves, Mom, "What's going on here? I thought I already got gloves. I
really get the point here!"
Survivor Computer Game, Mom, "I can't believe I got this cheesy piece of
shit! I love the show, but didn't even think the game looked cool."
(Upon later observation, I have realized that the game needs a higher
video card, and processor than I have on this computer.)
Gift Card - Walmart, E, "cool! Something on my list... now I can buy Pure
Eyes!"
Gift Card - Best Buy, Mom, "Cool! Something on my list... now I can get a
new DVD!"
Rubber Spatulas, Mom, "Cool! Now I can frost cupcakes, and eat frosting
out of the bowl/container."
A check made out to WPS, Mom, "Huh?"
Michael Jackson: Invincible CD, Mom, "Something on my list... and I've
been wanting to hear it!"
Basically, that's it. If I left something out. I'll add it later. I was just disappointed overall. I didn't get a single DVD. I just kept telling myself that I still had X-mas with dad tomorrow. In fact, I think I had to tell myself like 50 times that I still could be getting some Disney DVD's (or videos). I didn't ask for gloves, but I said it in passing to Mom when she said she only had one glove. (Due to one of us losing a glove -- we had two lefts and one right between us).
I just hope things go better tomorrow. I really hope I get a computer chair (cause my ass is sore now, and I haven't even been doing anything but writing this entry). And I'd really like to get some DVDs. I have a shit-load on my X-mas list, so I should expect a few tomorrow. :)
