I was sitting and watching TV, and the phone rang. That was odd. I thought that maybe Ryan wanted me to get online to play a game or something, but it was a little too early for him to even be home from work, so I couldn't figure out who would be calling.
Then this effeminate voice came on the phone and said, "Hi, this is Jeff from Humana." I almost peed my pants! I couldn't believe it. Then he told me that they were going to have a training session starting in March, and he wanted to know if I'd still be interested in interviewing with Humana. I could hardly contain my excitement.
Just yesterday, I was feeling really down about the lack of jobs. I was just about to give up looking because it felt like such a waste of time. Granted, this interview doesn't guarantee me a job with Humana, but I think I've already left a good enough impression that they called me back right away to offer me an interview for a job.
It's full time, complete benefits from day one. The pay is nice, the location isn't the greatest (with it not being on the bus route and me still not having a working car). But, Mom, Dad, and Wendy said that if I get a job, they will be willing to get me to (and hopefully from) work.
I'll write more on this tomorrow. I can't wait to see how things go!
Keepin' ya posted on my job search,
Carisa
