Spending time with Mom

April 2, 2002

It seems the more time I spend with Mom, the less I get things done around here. But quite frankly, that's not a bad thing. Because when I do get home from Mom's I tend to clean up a bit. (Probably more that I normally do, so maybe it's a good thing, I'm still not sure yet! hehe)

Other than having good quality time together, I've been getting meals! Like meals with REAL meat in them! Yummy! I guess you can't go wrong there! (Although Mom will beg to differ, since she's been paying for everything).

Besides making little crafts I can sell for a little bit of income, I get to laugh with Mom. Her and I get along so well. We have many things in common and can joke about things that the other will appreciate. We tend to start laughing at really cheesy things, and that's what makes it so fun.

But most of all, I think it's great to have a special friend. One that you can just be around without saying anything and not feeling awkward about the silence. Or a friend that will cry with you when you need just that. A friend that you know you can be yourself around. A friend that makes you feel special just by being with them. A friend that you can count on and know if they need someone, they can depend on you too. A friend. A good friend.

I'm glad I have my mom. It's great to know I'm not the only one that feels that way. A friend that I love. My Mom! :-)
