It was cooler out, and I decided to take that for granted! I did a little shopping, returned my library book (that I kept renewing because I was too lazy to run it back before it's due date), and went OUT TO EAT!
If you know me, you can guess where I went. My favorite place! Well, most talked about favorite place, that's for sure. :)
After dinner, I wandered to the nearby card outlet store. I got a Father's Day card while I sipped on my soda/kool-aid combo. Yum. I checked my watch. I still had 15-20 minutes until the bus would show, so I wandered inside T.J. Maxx. (I haven't been inside since they moved from their old location -- where I held my first non-babysitting job).
Surprisingly, I noticed that the only male manager while I worked there was still an employee. He had been a Store Manager, along with 3 women, so I guess it wasn't too surprising if I actually stop and think about it. I worked there in 1996. That's only six years ago.
I looked around the store. I noticed that the capri pants in the average-heighted women's section were just about the right length for me, except for the fact that they LOOKED like capri pants with the little slits in the sides... Oh well.
I caught the bus, and rode out to the grocery store (because it was the last day that my NestEggz coupon was good for. I bought a few things, and then went outside to wait for the bus again.
It started getting cold. Like, as in the wind picked up, and the sun went down. I sat and played a game on my Palm Pilot Clié until the bus showed up. I rode home, but the timing was bad again. I had to wait some more .... 30 minutes to be exact for my bus to show up.
A special note to all those with vehicles: Please, keep them running well. Get your oil changed when it's needed. Check your oil, plugs, filters, and air pressure as often as you can. It sucks to be stranded without a car. But worse yet, is waiting your life away for a bus. :(
