I gave Dad my itinerary for NEXT WEEK!!! I included simple things that might get overlooked for my girls' maintenance while I'm away. Hopefully, that will prove to be helpful. *crosses fingers*
I failed to bring Maxine's food today, so I knew she'd be getting a tad hungry later on. I made sure to share some of my dad's steak (rather, the steak that my dad made that I was eating). She was happy to get food at that point. She was a good girl about it too. She didn't beg or get snippy about it.
I showed Maxine where the potty was. I let her get her scent all over everything again. All in all, I think she did a good job at Dad's. I'm hopeful for her stay with him NEXT WEEK!! (I can't believe how soon it is coming up).
After dinner, I gave Dad my present for him. He seemed to like it. It was a pen/golf ball holder handmade out of wood. I only told him three times that I got it at a craft sale! Dad just doesn't listen. That's why I'm going to write the directions down on how to care for my girls. That way he doesn't have to listen, just take the note and post it in a handy location.
Maxine was looking rather tired by that time, so I decided that it would probably be best to get home so she could get some sleep and eat her food. (She'd been up the whole time we were at Dad's, only resting a few times. She's a cat, afterall, and that means that she was awake must longer than her quota of four hours allowed! hehe).
When we got home, Maxine ran to the food bowl (with her harness still on) and just started chowing down. She musta been more hungry that I had thought. Then shortly after, she made a nice spot on the living room floor as her own. She slept and slept. In fact, she's been sleeping this entire time I wrote this entry. :) Poor little gal.
So, Maxine had a big day, and I think she will do good at Dad's when I go visit Ryan. That's a relief.
