I only worked three hours today, got paid cash for 4 hours! How cool is that? The guy is really nice. He seemed to like my hair. hehe
The business is run out of his house at this point. He had an office in the basement that I worked in. He has a dog and his wife has a few hamsters. They looked really velvety soft. (Probably soft like Pikku was). The basement had had some water damage I believe because it smelled like a damp old basement. But... on the up side, it was cooler than the rest of the house. (It was a really hot and humid day today).
The work itself was easy. I typed up invoices, printed them out, logged them, filed them, and printed envelopes for them. The guy first asked me if I knew WordPerfect! Hehe... I was raised on WordPerfect! That was easy. I hadn't used it in years, but it's just like riding a bike... or rather, just like using any word program nowadays. hehe, that too.
After doing only three hours work (when he had said it would take four), he drove me home. I am to show up for the 20th of each month unless it falls on a Saturday or Sunday. In that instance, I just show up the Friday before and do the same thing. He wasn't very office oriented, so he was happy that I was efficient (see Ryan?! It's good to be efficient *playful smile*). I guess it's just a good feeling to know you can do something better than someone else. Gives a person worth.
Damn. Didn't want to get all serious. Sorry about that.
I'm getting more and more excited at how close it is until I get to see Ryan! It seems like the days have sped up for awhile. I'm not arguing now. (I just want them to be slow and lazy starting Tuesday evening or so. I'm not being selfish either! I'm thinking of both Ryan AND me! So there! *pthbbbt*)
