An intern was there as well. They were going head to head. We started talking about games... because, well, it's a game company, so what else would we be talking about? And the topic turned to Animal Crossing. It seems that females REALLY, REALLY like this game.
It didn't occur to me up until that point that Animal Crossing and the buble game are "female" games. Chicks just dig these games. So, we were trying to figure out why females don't play all types of games.
I came up with the answer of why I don't play first person shooter games. I like them, but I'm not good at them. I get frustrated when I can't pass a level much quicker than a male would. I just would rather play a game that doesn't require you to pass one tiny thing to make the entire game advance. That's why I like Animal Crossing, there is no ultimate goal. It just is.
So perhaps that's the reason that I like Spyro as well. You DON'T have to pass every level to advance the game. You don't have to remember to equip tons of weapons, you don't have to learn fight combos, you don't have to stomp to the rythym of flashy arrows... oh wait! That's DDR, and I like that. (Sidenote: I like DDR because it's something I can advance at AND get a work-out while having fun).
I don't remember where I was going with this work buddies topic, but I did have something in mind when I started. Oh well.
Second Topic: Class
Today, tonight more specifically, is my first class. I'm taking
Accounting. On Saturday, Ryan and I did a trial run of how to get there
so I know how much time to allot for myself. I'm excited for the class
now. I hope the excitement doesn't wane once I actually get there.
It's been a long time since I've had a class. I'm glad I decided to take one, and only one. I wouldn't want to overdo it. Especially since I should be looking for work really soon... like right now. Oops! (Best Buy is hiring, but I don't know if I could do retail, even if it is for a store that I would shop at normally).
I'll hopefully write soon to let you know how the first classes went. I wanna play Red Alert 2 now (thanks, Erich).
