Humana called!

I heard the phone ring while I was sleeping this morning. When I woke up, I listened to the message, expecting to hear from a creditor. But to my surprise, it was a dude from Humana! I was so stoked! He was calling to talk to me about a job opening!

I called, and to make a long story short, ended up leaving a message with another person (because nobody there knew this guy that called me--I had his name wrong due to him saying it SUPER fast and I was talking to people in the wrong department). I will call the original guy tomorrow morning. I'll let you know what happens with that.

The main point of this entry, I think is to say that I'm feeling a tad better about the whole job situation. Finally, something. Some hint of potential. Etc, etc, etc. (sorry, I've written two other entries today, and don't feel like typing much more).

Tomorrow, I'm meeting with Diane. I'm excited about that. I'll have news to tell her (provided I get my lazy butt out of bed to make the call first thing in the morning). Oh yeah... I forgot to mention, she's picking me up. She offered to pick me up. She knows I don't have wheels (or money) and she really wants to meet with me. She's such a nice person. I wish we would have been able to communicate with frequency last year. It probably would have boosted my outlook on a lot of things.

Last topic, I swear. Diane said something when I talked to her on Wednesday. She said that she's proud of me. Glad that I'm taking initiative in looking for jobs by myself. Glad that I'm willing to take a job during any shift. The only reason I did those things is because of the EXTREME lack of jobs, so I had to stop narrowing my sights. It's not like I'm going to find the ideal job or anything, just something to tide me over until I get back on my feet (or go back to school, whichever comes first). I told Ryan about what she said. He said that he noticed I'm more happy that I let myself remember. So, it takes days like this to make me remember.

I know I'm having a good day, because when I kicked the garbage can over by accident, the garbage stayed in the can and didn't spill all over. How cool is that?!
