I missed the first quarter of the Eagles/Bears game. I was really getting into the game. I don't really know the players or anything but I could feel the excitement in the air! It's nice that the games were later in the day, or I would have only seen one of them. :)
By the end of the 3rd quarter, I started rooting primarily for the Bears. I know, I know. I'm a Packer fan through and through, but if the Bears won and we matched them in the NFC Championship game, we'd beat their socks off! (we did it twice already this season). So, when the Bears got behind, I really started getting into game mode. Yelling about penalties, clapping my hands for good plays, making fun of the announcers, and the likes. It was like I was me again. Such a nice feeling. I didn't know if it would ever happen again, so I'm glad I was able to recognize it when it actually happened.
Oh yeah. Back to the topic at hand.
I watched the Bears lose and was kinda disappointed, but I knew the better team won, so I wasn't that disappointed or anything. I decided it was due time for a shower... so I missed part of the first quarter of the Patriots/Raiders game. But that's okay.
It was a fun game to watch because of the snow fall! I had never seen such consistant snow fall during a football game in my life. I've seen snow in Lambeau and all, but none like this. The field was covered. There were men that ran across the field with leaf blowers to clear the yard lines. That was fun to watch. They would literally 'run' across the field making zigzag lines with the blower to clear enough snow so you could see the lines.
The first half was pretty boring score wise and plays-wise, but I was having fun watching because of the little mistakes made due to the weather. Halftime. Nothing new. 3rd quarter. Points! Finally. Another score! It helped make the game a bit more interesting to watch. I wasn't exactly sure who I was cheering for in the first half, but by the 3rd quarter, I wanted the Patriots to win. (probably because the Pack beat the Pats in Superbowl XXXI and I just feel sorry for them).
I just have one thing to say about Tom Brady. He's fucking hot!
I was biting my nails in the end of the 4th quarter. I couldn't believe how close it was. And then... the field goal tied up the game! How much more excited could a game get after being so dull the first half?!
Overtime. Fun, fun, fun. More snow. Snow snow snow. Football. favorite game favorite game favorite game. Ahhh.... sometimes I wonder if I could ever get enough football.
Two more games tomorrow! :-) Can you guess what I'll be doing tomorrow? Carisa
