Looking back

I was just updating the site a bit, when I went all ADD... so I started reading old entries. I started laughing my ass off at the cheesy things I've written. For example, I was going through my "tough" phase and I wrote ICQ Fun. I laughed at the irony of me "slipping" into the Sandy persona. I also found it hilarious that I know the guy showed up. I never mentioned it in my entries. That's a shame. (Hmmm... I just proved myself wrong by mentioning it now. Doh!)

I am taking breaks between writing and reading. This is the way to go. I'm starting to put all the entry files on this computer and then I can do as much re-editing as I want. Or just try another way to present the entries.

Ok. I just read another entry. It's Labor Day of last year. I actually stuck to a subject (in my own scatter-brained way) all the way to the end of the entry. The irony: the title has nothing to do with the subject matter. That's a pure Carisa-ism. (is that a new word now?)

I was thinking about going to Houghton for a weekend, but now I realized that Halloween is in the middle of the week and I wanna go see the "Trick or Troupe" show this year. So that means a really long weekend, or a weekend and a weeknight. Either way, I'm going to Houghton.

Another entry. My stomach hurts from laughing so much. It's been a long time since I've done this much laughing. I really needed those endorphins. :-) The third paragraph got me real bad this time. I couldn't even read the rest until I wrote this because I was laughing so much I couldn't see the screen. Tears were running down my face!!!

Well, one more entry mention (say that ten times fast). I will just quote it instead of another link:
"I have my own computer now!!!! I am very excited about it and I have been writing tons of crap on the 'equivalent to Microsoft Word' files. I have written the last 5 journal entries on it (because I admit, I was way behind). The only thing I will need now (after I get the internet hook up to work) is a disk caddy. I need one cause I have a really ancient, Macintosh Quadra 800!! That's ancient. It was around in the Roman Empire, but you never read about it because even the Romans didn't want to 'fess up and admit they owned Macs."

A few more things before I sign off. I've been playing FF9 (Final Fantasy IX) for about 1.5 weeks. I am only on disc three and I'm stuck. I made it further than this before Erich's save disc became corrupted. So, now that I started all over, and it's been months since I played it the first time, I don't remember where I have to go to get out of the circle I'm walking in. If anyone knows how to get out of Desert Palace after Kuja leaves on the Hilde Garde 1 (and the gang must get to the Blue Narcissa (sp?) ). I have tried to exit the way the group enters, but can't due to the closed cell doors. I have tried going back to the loading dock where the Hilde Garde 1 was, but no such luck. I don't remember where to go. Erich hasn't made it that far in the game, so I can't ask him. Someone please help. (FYI: Erich wants his PS and game back on Sunday 10-14).

Last but not least before I head to bed, Maxine (my long-haired furry kitty-girl) used the toilet for the first time last night! I was so proud of her. Especially since I was almost out of litter and I didn't want to buy anymore if she was this close to potty-trained. I was so proud of her that I gave her some treats and special attention. Hell! I even pet her while she was going! hehehe. But alas, not all good has come from this. She still needs me to show her that she has to squat on the real toilet to go. (Unfortunately, a few minutes ago I thought Tierna had pooped on my shoulder--cause that's where she was-- but I found out it was Maxine. She had gone on the living room carpet and was trying to cover it by scrapping her feet across the carpet. Dammit! I was so close with her. A few more days and I know I will get her to be using the pot on her own. Hmmmm... that could have double meaning, since the catnip hasn't died yet. hehehe)

Well, the sun is fully up, so it must be bedtime.

Later all,
Carisa
