A cute dream

November 14, 2002 *

The dream I had last night was so adorable, that I couldn't NOT write about it in my journal. The reason: Tierna was in it. :) (and she's cute, if you haven't noticed)

So the dream starts out that I'm on the bed. (Tierna's cage currently resides at the foot of the bed). I find out that I'm much smaller than normal. Much, MUCH smaller. In fact, I'm Tierna sized, but human still.

I don't know where I am, so I start wandering around. (I only find out later that I was on the bed). Soon, I come up to the edge of the bed. I realize that I have to jump down if I want to go anywhere.

I do what Tierna does, and jump down to the rim of her cage. I notice that the cover is off, so I don't have to worry about lifting it off. I notice the green block that sits near Tierna's water bottle. I know she uses that to jump down onto when she gets back in her cage a lot. I decide it's a safe way to get into her cage, so I hop on down.

Tierna hears me and comes out of her box. She scurries over to me to sniff me. (Sidenote: Last night, I put my toothbrush in her cage for her to sniff it and possible lick it, but instead she attacked it like it was Pikku or something else she wanted to kill). I was a tad nervous, knowing that she is much stronger than me because of my newly diminutive size.

Instead, she greets me like I'm her mom, just like normal... she must not realize that I'm so small, I think. She walks towards the green block and says to me, "This is my block. I use it for jumping on to get higher up. And to drink water." Then she walks over to her water bottle and says, "This is my water bottle. I drink like this" *Drink drink* "see?"

Somehow, it doesn't surprise me that she can talk. She leads me a little ways more into her cage and says that she keeps her food over here... and then she walks me over to her box and says, "I'm sorry it's so small... somehow it just got smaller. I don't know how, but it's not the size I like."

I tell her that she can't always have the same size house because I don't always have that size to give her. She's lucky that she has a house this week because I was all out of boxes. I don't think she realizes how much effort it takes to remember boxes for her and get through the product fast enough for it to be useful for her.

Sidenote: I had to get boxes from Jesse and Katherine for Tierna to have a living quarters this week (and next) because I don't go through Kleenex or soda cases fast enough on my own.

I don't remember the dream ending, but I don't remember anymore than this now. I just think it was neat standing and talking to Tierna, and being at her level. She's got long fur when you see her up close.
