So, quick synopsis of my life as of late:
Valentine's day was a nice day... Ryan liked his present of a massage from
work (from me, but the massage is given at work). We ate at a Greek
restaurant that had live music, nice ambiance, and pretty murals.
My brother told me that he's joining the Air Force! I couldn't believe E
would do something like that, being that he doesn't like authority
figures, but he said he can't sit on his butt for the rest of his life and
work at a hotel. I'm proud that he's taking charge of his life, a concept
I can't seem to get passed.
I'm another year older, and I do actually think I'm another year wiser
(this time). Ryan got me Buffy: Season 3! Yum! The new Spyro game, a
paper saying we are getting a TiVo! Neato! (More on birthday later).
Tim moved to the city, so we see more of him. Which makes it nice to go
to dinner or just hang out. Much easier than driving 40 minutes to see
friends.
Maxine got one piece of cat furniture and she loves it immensely! Let's
explain briefly how I got her pink carpetted triangle for free: Sarah
moved into a room that was once occupied by a girl that had 3 cats, she
moved back to Hawaii, thus leaving stuff behind (read - cat furniture and
boxes).
Tierna is going to be TWO YEARS OLD tomorrow! I am planning on
giving her treats and attention. She will get to cruise around on the
couch. I'm sure that will make her happy.
Guess I'm done with the major events.
I'm still playing Animal Crossing everyday. I like to lift weights and play DDR. I've even improved on DDR since I've last written. I bought new athletic shoes so I can have some foot support when I'm playing. I've been playing Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends, although I call it Mushu Warriors (due to the story mode being called something similar to mushu). It's very addicting too.
Back to the birthday thing: Ryan took me to this fancy restuarant on the bay. Seriously, it was on the bay... like the restuarant was extended out into the bay. It was one of those nice places with interesting lighting, soft music and EXPENSIVE food. My surf and turf was $45! That's like 6 or 7 BK meals for two! Either way, it was really good food. He told me afterwards that he didn't care what the price was, because he got to enjoy a great dinner with me and he knew that the lobster was very tasty. Overall, I had a good birthday.
Many of my past birthdays were big downers. I was beginning to think that they all were going to be downers from here on out, but Ryan changed that idea. For example, on my 21st, I spent my birthday all alone, opening a present that Mom sent me. It was an answering machine! An answering machine! Nothing fun... something practical. That was my first major sign that I was getting old. For my 22nd, I spent the day moving into a new apartment, but ended with a nice dinner. No presents, just teamwork. For my 23rd, I think I went to dinner. Don't really remember. That's how forgettable it was. So, this year was a nice change of pace. So, if I haven't said it already 30 or so times, thanks Ryan.
I written tons of stuff today, and I really hope to get back into a pattern of writing again. I just find that Ryan's computer desk isn't the right height for making it comfy typing, therefore I try to avoid it if I can. Such is life, I suppose.
I think that is enough for now. I'm excited for Ryan and mine's one year anniversary coming up! I can't wait to give him his gift. :)
