Girls Day

March 17, 2002

Ok, ok. I'm sorry Erich. Not all girls the entire day, but for the majority it was, so that's why I titled it the way I did.

The day started out early. I had to wait until Erich got off work to drive me to Mom's. Grandma was there. She and Mom were making breakfast when Erich and I showed up. There was a bit of greeting, hugging, whatnot. Then breakfast ensued.

After breakfast, we played cards. I lost a lot. Mom won a lot. She was feeling "lucky." She probably should have made it a casino day, but Grandma was there and all.

Erich was getting tired, so he headed home. Mom and Grandma headed to church. I sat around the house, petted Mikey (boy have I missed the chunker!) I waited for Mom and Grandma to get back because they said we'd go to Subway for lunch and then Sam's Club to get a few things.

I haven't been to Sam's Club in years. In fact, I wasn't even in High School yet when I went. All I must say about Sam's is: it's H U G E !!!! I knew it was huge beforehand, from seeing the outside, but when I walked in again... it was just HUGE!

I can't even think of a word to describe it, other than HUGE. I mean, I saw a bag... not just any size bag... a 50 pound HUGE bag of pure sugar!!! Oh man... that's like my freshman year of college's dream! hehehe... Sugar, sugar, sugar!

After Sam's Club, I stayed at Mom's for awhile. Mom, Grandma, and I played some more cards. Then we played Yahtzee (surprise, surprise with Grandma there, huh?). After that, I went home. All in all, it was a girls day. The three of us spent so much time together. It was nice to spend time with Grandma again, but like Mom said, too much time is not a good thing.
