Busy

May 16, 2002

To some, my day was not busy, but to me... it was busy busy busy.

I had to wake up a tad earlier than usual, so I could get to a meeting with DVR (Department of Vocational Rehab) and VCS (Vocational Consulting Services) to get everybody back on the "same page."

The meeting when as I expected. They wanted to get on a regular meeting schedule, and wanted to know what I was looking for. I told them that I'm not sure. I don't even know if I want to do chemical engineering, and I don't know when I'm moving. I also told them about meeting with the bankruptcy lawyer, telling them that I can't make over a certain amount otherwise my wages will be garnished.

After the meeting, I walked to the bank. Deposited my paycheck from those meager three days of work at the craft store, and walked to the library. They didn't have the magazine issue that I needed to make photocopies of a particular article I think is important.

So I started walking some more. I walked to a bus stop on my route, and rode it to the grocery store. I shopped, taking only what I could carry in my arms and then I (can you guess it?) walked home.

By the time I got home, I was ready for a nap. It was a long walk with those bags of groceries (handle-less bags, I might add). A walk of 6 to 7 blocks). Those bags seemed to keep getting heavier as I walked.

As I said, I felt like I needed a nap when I got in the door, but I had to put away the cold groceries and then Maxine wanted attention. So I sat with her for a bit, and then she wanted me to play. Oh no, there she goes again, running around like a madwoman! That's how I kinda felt, so I guess she was just acting out how I felt. Hehe. Who knew Maxine was an actress? I know I didn't.

So, at the beginning, I said that I was busy, and I was. For me.
