Sleepy Carisa

May 29, 2002

You know in movies or TV shows where they do dream sequences with that hazy/blurry film over top of the lens? Well, that's how my mind felt today. I could still access (see) the things I needed to, but it was like I had to walk through a thick fog to get there.

I am running on five hours of sleep. Not necessarily good sleep either. Boo-hoo for me, huh? I know. It's not my fault though. I'm going to blame this one on Ryan. That's right. It's all your fault Ryan. hehe.

He called me about 20 minutes or so before I was going to go to sleep. We ended up talking for quite some time. Like I said, I'm kinda fuzzy right now, but I think it was 2.5 hours or so. Geez louise, huh?

Well, I had wanted to get to bed a tad earlier than the night before because I need to be on a "normal" sleep schedule for this weekend. Instead, after the call I wasn't tired, and I had gotten a new Maxim.

Let's put two and two together, shall we?

I read Maxim until 8:30am, thinking I was finally tired. But no. I couldn't fall asleep. I remember looking at the clock and seeing it was 9am and I wasn't any closer to sleepy than I was 30 minutes prior.

See how this is all Ryan's fault? Entirely. :)

I had an appointment with Diane, the job finder helper lady, at 2:45pm. Yikes! That made for very very little sleep. I got out of bed at 2pm. Dragging my tired legs to the kitchen, I found a message on my machine from someone that used my first and last name. I wonder why they did that? Hmm... I called the number back to find out what it was all about.

Just like the bankruptcy lawyer had warned me about, it was another lawyer that represented a collection agency for one of my creditors. He wanted to know why I hadn't paid. That was none of his business, so I just asked him what the amount was they claimed I owed. He told me $1500. I agreed. And that was that.

Ahh... one less harasser. Carisa can sleep easy tonight. (And believe me, I will sleep easy tonight).
