Day off

August 7, 2002 *

Yesterday, the day before yesterday, and the day before that, and even the day before that, I've gone over to Mom's house and we've worked on whimsies or packaging or whatever needed to be done.

Instead, today, I mowed the lawn and Mom pulled weeds. Then we watched some TVLand and ate dinner. We just sat and relaxed. I had even considered making more whimsies, and I had brought my tools with me, but it was just nice to sit and watch TV.

Since I don't have cable anymore, it's a treat to watch other channels (besides Mom's perpetual channel of TLC). We saw a "Leave It to Beaver" episode and a "Beverly Hillbillies" episode. Man, I love the old black and white Beverly Hillbillies! It's great watchin', that's fer shur.

On another note, today marked three days in a row that Mom didn't need to run her A/C. You know what that means? The weather has been enjoyable enough, not too humid, and all around, like SF weather! hehe... I'm glad that I haven't even needed to run my window fan because it just makes it easier on my ears in the long run. (did that make any sense? I think I jumped somewhere else, but didn't give the transition thought... oh well).

On a final note, Maxine and Tierna are both doing good, as are Mikey and Teek. Mikey is happy that Penny is gone, Teek is just Teek. Maxine keeps thinking that every movement under Tierna's blanket is a toy, until she realizes that it's Tierna. (She doesn't like that, because that means she can't play or Tierna would kick her ass). Tierna is not fat, yet she weighs more than she ever has before. She's just finally hit her terminal weight (or I hope that's her terminal weight since she's kinda heavy on my shoulder). My 12 ounce baby girl :)

(Hmm... that reminds me to post more Tierna and Maxine pics... I got more developed!)
